Nova Scotia is heading to the polls on November 26, 2024!

Parkinson Canada is asking the Nova Scotia members of our community to reach out to your electoral candidates and ask them to prioritize Parkinson’s. As of 2023, there are more than 2,400 Nova Scotians living with Parkinson’s and wait times to see a Movement Disorder Specialist can be three to four years on average. It is time our leaders in Halifax recognize the impact Parkinson’s has on the people of this province and for them to address our needs as the Parkinson’s community.

This election is your opportunity to have your voice heard.

Please join Parkinson Canada in sending a clear message to your electoral candidates that Nova Scotia deserves better healthcare outcomes. Together, we can elect a government that prioritizes Parkinson’s!

Please download the 2024 Nova Scotia Election Toolkit. This step-by-step guide provides tips on how to effectively engage with elected officials and candidates, key information and data on Parkinson’s and the current realities of healthcare in Nova Scotia, along with questions you can ask candidates.
