For April, Parkinson\u2019s Awareness Month, we are focusing on the many benefits of physical activity for people with Parkinson\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>In this issue of <em>e<\/em>-Parkinson Post, you will read how <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/pl3ls-AF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one person with Parkinson\u2019s has successfully incorporated exercise into her daily life<\/a>. You will discover what elements help make a good physical activity program for Parkinson\u2019s. You can download a copy of the new <a href=\"http:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/site\/c.kgLNIWODKpF\/b.8005673\/k.841\/Physical_Activity_and_Parkinson8217s_Disease.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">tip sheet on Physical Activity and Parkinson\u2019s Disease<\/a>Parkinson Society Canada has launched with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.<\/p>\n<p>You will also find information on <a href=\"http:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/NonMotorGuide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">A Guide to the Non-Motor Symptoms of Parkinson\u2019s Disease<\/a>, a new booklet to help people with Parkinson\u2019s recognize non-motor symptoms and learn about strategies to manage them.<\/p>\n<p>We share some of the articles we have recently submitted to other publications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/pl3ls-AO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Can exercise help improve cognition, language, voice or swallowing in Parkinson\u2019s?<\/a> (Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists)<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Parkinson\u2019s research: Achieving quality of life\" href=\"http:\/\/parkinsonpost.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/03\/parkinsonsresearchachieving.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parkinson\u2019s research: Achieving quality of life<\/a>\u00a0(National Post supplement)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also bring you up to date on the advocacy activities not only for Parkinson\u2019s Awareness Month but for National Brain Awareness Month in March.<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to <a href=\"http:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/webinar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">join our webinar<\/a> on cognitive impairment in Parkinson\u2019s, featuring one of our researchers, Dr. Oury Monchi.
