Whether they are established experts, or just beginning their careers,
\nParkinson\u2019s researchers count on funding from the Parkinson Canada National Research Program<\/em> to test new theories and
\nto discover a critical piece of the complex puzzle that is Parkinson\u2019s disease.
\nAs of September 2019, Parkinson Canada is proud to support 25<\/strong> new
\ngrant, fellowship and student awards. <\/strong>These represent a total of $1,242,171<\/strong> to support new research
\nprojects in Canada during the next two years. <\/p>\n

Currently,
\nthere is no cure<\/strong> for Parkinson\u2019s
\ndisease.<\/p>\n

Parkinson Canada<\/strong> has great expectations for the 25 researchers
\nreceiving awards during the next two years. Each of them will advance our
\nknowledge of Parkinson, a complex brain disease, as well as interpret and share
\ntheir knowledge with other researchers and health professionals. Those receiving
\nclinical fellowships will actually treat individuals living with Parkinson\u2019s.
\nMany of these researchers will continue their connection with Canada\u2019s
\nParkinson community.<\/p>\n

Since
\n1981, the Parkinson Canada National Research
\nProgram<\/em> has invested more than $30 million
\nin 577 research projects<\/strong> that have expanded our knowledge of Parkinson\u2019s
