Members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/about-us\/parkinson-advisory-council\/\">Parkinson Advisory Council (PAC)<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/about-us\/parkinson-canada-research-and-clinical-advisory-committee\/\">Research and Clinical Advisory Committee (RCAC)<\/a> joined our Board of Directors for its debut.<\/p>\n<p>Our Impact Report serves a few different purposes. It helps donors see where their donations go, it helps prospective donors understand how we help Canadians with Parkinson\u2019s live well and it helps those impacted by Parkinson\u2019s learn about the programs and services we bring to their community. <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-36897 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Group of people sitting in a banquet room\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-700x525.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-100x75.jpg 100w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-890x668.jpg 890w, https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/MicrosoftTeams-image-6-1264x948.jpg 1264w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This year&rsquo;s report highlighted how well the Parkinson&rsquo;s community was able to work together in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<h5>What we achieved in 2021<\/h5>\n<p>While we encourage you to browse our 2021 Impact Report in full, we\u2019re happy to provide a few highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The creation of the Parkinson Advisory Council and the Research and Clinical Advisory Committee gave us the opportunity to be more collaborative, and valuable insight into the needs of Canadians impacted by Parkinson\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li>We began to live our vision of a digital-first organization by creating digital access to support and resources. As a result, our downloadable resources were accessed more than ever before, participant numbers in virtual support groups more than doubled and webinar attendance reached a record-breaking 13,000 attendees.<\/li>\n<li>We continued work on the recently published <a href=\"https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Parkinson-Canada-National-Roundtable-Report.pdf\">National Advocacy Roundtable report<\/a> and are in the midst of releasing the resulting provincial reports.<\/li>\n<li>We continue to grow our <a href=\"https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/getinvolved\/ambassador-network\/\">Ambassador Program<\/a> across the country, which will allow us to reach even more elected officials, raising the voice of those impacted by Parkinson\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li>We saw <a href=\"https:\/\/archiveparkinson.thedev.ca\/research\/canadian-open-parkinson-network\/\">C-OPN<\/a> gain momentum as the research we support becomes more rooted in collaboration not only with the research community but with Canadians impacted by Parkinson\u2019s as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Thank you for your continued support<\/h5>\n<p>All of this is made possible because of our donors, staff, supporters and volunteers.<br \/>\nEven in the wake of the pandemic, more than 58,000 Canadians chose to support our cause through donations.
